Israel 2 – 11 England
(Half Time 2 – 5)
Our superiority was evident, even after we had played five matches in 48 hours.
We didn’t start the game very well as the players were trying to play up too direct towards Israel’s goal, instead of making pass lines enabling us to play the game at a slower pace, which would have enabled us to play the game at our speed.
I called the time out and explained to the players that we had to be more intense and aggressive in defence and to retain more ball possession in our attack.
This meant we would be able to score goals both from our counter attacks and from our controlled carousel moves.
This game gave me the opportunity to rotate the players to ensure that we are fit and rested enough to play Andorra tomorrow .
