The England U20’S Arrive In Switzerland
On Wednesday 19th October 2016 the Under 20 England Team travelled to Feira, Portugal for three days preparation which included five training sessions and three games.
The objective for this preparation was to create routines in defence and attack which were well achieved. In the last warm up game against a senior team, England showed consistency in defence breaking very well in counter attack and have good ball possession.
On Saturday, 22nd October we arrived in Pully, Switzerland in readiness for the Championships.

This year we are participating with a young team, only two players are last year u20 then we have six with one or more years and two with two more years to go.
We will start tomorrow the competition playing against Portugal the World and Europeans Champions in the last two Under 20’s competitions.
We have a very hard group phase playing the following games:
- Monday 24th October: Portugal 15:15
- Tuesday 25th October: Andorra 14:15
- Wednesday 26th October: Italy 16:00
From the Thursday we will then start a knock out phase to decide final placings.
On our arrival to Switzerland the team was invited for a dinner in Marco’s family house which is twenty minutes away from Pully. This was a great evening which helped to strengthen the team spirit.
Now we are looking forward for the competition and are completely focused on it. Today we were allowed time to adapt to the Championship Rink and the players didn’t find any problems.
